To attend any of our Interest Groups, you do not need to be a current member of Caerphilly u3a However after you have attended two taster sessions, you will need to join before being allowed to attend any more.

Interest groups' contacts, and meeting details are available on this website and at our monthly branch meetings. The group lists will be available at the monthly branch meetings, so that members can add their names to any current or proposed groups. There will also be opportunities to suggest further groups.

In our U3A groups there are no regular paid instructors. The group contact organises the venues and contacts all members to arrange meetings and then the interest groups set their own agendas, are self-financing and work at their own pace.

If you feel none of our current groups appeal to you, or perhaps are held at a time you cannot attend, you could join an online interest group, (IGO), of which there are currently 126 nationally. They are Zoom meetings, usually lasting about an hour. Some are weekly, but the norm is monthly. You will be sent an email beforehand, with a link to join the meeting via your PC, laptop, Notebook ,Tablet, or smartphone. Currently this is £12 from April each year, or £6 if you join after September. This subscription will entitle you to sign up for as many IGO's as you wish.
